@Kaitlin_ excellent advice posting videos, above and beyond most comments i see.

SwadeJaxsun I had broken the tip of my elbow off and had 2 pins in it for a year and 2 surgeries. i was missing range of motion like you.  so we have the same symptom of rom loss rooting from different problems.
I went through therapy 2x’s and still was lacking rom. 5 years after that I took an archery class and within 6 weeks I had 100% rom.
using the bow compels your wrist, elbow and shoulders to work like a wrist, elbow, and shoulder should.
Todd Hargrove, “A Guide To Better Movement”, teaches a principle that the nervous system as a highly intelligent, overprotective mother.  once your brain feels safe or that the movement you’re about to do won’t affect survival then it begins to give you more movement capacity back.

i empathize with your pain. ive had lower extremity injuries that have taken me out for extended periods. this stopped happening when I started believing the philosopy of MWOD and then trying to practice it.  Kelly talks about it in supple leopard. 1% of all biomechanical injuries is a disease. 1% are catosrophic accidents. that leaves 98% of all other injuries are due to poor movement.

If medical professionals clear you with no disease, and you have had no catastrophic accidents, then poor movement is the root cause.
this should be empowering because if you choose to improve your movement quality then your body starts to autocorrect.

using the pose method YouTube channel and Taking a pose method clinic(theyre great) would be a great place to start. thoughts?

my work requires I spend a lot of time in boots so my feet flattened out and knees turn in. it definitely has been a moving target. I had an accident where my foot collapsed, knee locked out and my weight came down resulting in a hyper extended knee.

2 things main things I’ve used to rehab:
    1. practice the air squat while flaring my knees out putting my feet and knees in a safer position. Kelly talks about this in supple leopard and many mwod videos.
    2.  training barefoot VERY gradually.  this causes the tissues in the feet that have gone on vacation, due to walking/standing on flat surfaces and certain types of footwear, to start working again. and as long as you train barefoot gradually your body will respond well.
    your thoughts?
