Does anyone have any favorite mobilizations / techniques to help with progressing in splits? (I’m mostly interested in middle / pancake splits, but front splits are cool too…) I’ve been hammering the wall split machine with the band on the feet… it’s pretty gruesome. I’m wondering if there are some more effective plans of attack here. The traditional “splits machine” is a no-go, unfortunately; there is quite literally zero way to set it up in my current situation.
you could try buying one of those doorway chin up bars and hang the strap from there. if you don’t pull down sharply, it should take your weight OK.
the others i’ve seen also require some kind of way to secure bands in other ways. see:
