I’m looking to get some dedicated lifting shoes. I don’t need to run or jump in them, just squat, clean, etc. What are you guys wearing? Anybody have feedback on the Adidas Powerlift 2.0 or the Reebok Lifters?

I started with the Adidas Powerlift 2.0, but found them too stiff for anything other than lifting. If you are just going to lift then they work great!

I switched to the Reebok lifters shortly after and I find them much more comfortable overall and lighter than the Adidas. The lifters also have more room in the toe box which I liked. For dedicated lifting shoes like you said either should work, but I can’t tell you which one will fit your feet better. I would recommend finding stores to try on the Lifters and Powerlift and pick the one that feels best.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I’m going to go with the Adidas because I’m looking for a shoe strictly for lifting, and I was worried that Powerlifts wouldn’t be stiff enough (some people complained the old Powerlift Trainers were too squishy). I’m going to try them both on here locally this weekend, so I’ll do that, but barring something unusual, I’ll probably end up with the Adidas. I’ll come back in a couple weeks and update the post for posterity. In the meantime, anybody else want to chime in on a discussion of lifting shoes?
