5 weeks ago I had surgery to repair an inguinal hernia. Does anyone have any advice on how I should approach mobilizing the psoas or gut smashing post surgery? Is it too soon after surgery to do any direct mobility work?

I am not sure whether you can go for direct mobility work just after 5 weeks. However I can give you some tips which will help you for a faster recovery.

-don’t just surf on your couch, walk as much as possible
-you can have a small pillow around if you need to cough
Sorry I don’t have any personal experience undergoing a hernia surgery, but my brother has had an indirect inguinal hernia repair surgery 2 years before. His doctor said not to do any exercises beyond walking and he had a great recovery following that.
