I really want to learn more about the body and how it works. I bought The supple leopard book and am reading it but am looking to learn more about the anatomy and physiology side of it. Anyone recommend books or magazines that could help with this? I know there are a ton of them which is why I’m looking for some recommendations that are clear and to the point.

Also does anyone know of any podcast that would help?
Im also interested in really becoming knowledgable about paleo as well. I have basic knowledge of both Paleo diet and anatomy and physiology but I would really like to take it to another level. Any recommendations would be great. Thanks.

This is my favorite book on muscles: Concise Book of Muscles by Chris Jarmey

I found Ben Greenfield’s Beyond Training to be a good overview of the latest knowledge in exercise physiology (as well as a lot of other stuff).  There are a lot more that are heavy into the academic side of things. Could be hard to read and much more expensive as they are typically textbooks.

Thanks David! I’ll definitely check them out.

Anyone have any good podcast they listen to? I’m always looking for one that’s interesting but teaches you something at the same time.

hmm i’m not big on podcasts but like videos more.

check out this playlist from Evan Osar whose videos are pretty good from the rehab side of things:

that’s my playlist of faves but there are many more in his YT channel.

while we’re on the video kick, i find Charlie Weingroff’s DVDs are all really good: go here: http://www.otpbooks.com/authors/ and select Charlie Weingroff to sort by.
