Daily Mobility Exercises by Dr. Kelly Starrett › Forums › General › Dead Leg
I was just wondering if anyone has any specific compression techniques (or any other) to help along the recovery of my dead leg.
I think quad ‘contusion’ is the proper term for it; basically I was playing rugby and took a hard knock on my right quad just above the knee. The area is bruised and still slightly swollen 6 days later, as well as being fairly sore to touch. I have been applying compression with the voodoo band and putting some gentle movement through it, but have stayed away from icing it.
Just wondering if there’s anything else I should be doing? Is self massage going to help at this stage?
Thanks
