It could either be from your lower back or an entrapment of the Lateral Femoral Cutaneous Nerve which is called Meralgia Paresthetica. It just causes numbness in the thigh and resolves with proper soft tissue treatment to remove entrapment. An Active Release Technique Provider would be helpful.
