I had an MRI that indicated a tear in my anterior talofibular ligament on my right ankle. I’m pretty sure it was the results of rolling my ankle  very badly 3 months ago, and I may have reaggravated it last month during a military course.

I was wondering if anyone is knowledgeable on ligament injuries / healing times and techniques. I’ve been sent to physical therapy on base, and well.. calf raises and ankle alphabets aren’t cutting it. The service here is not helpful, and I don’t want to waste my time.
I’m just looking for any recommendations in the San Antonio area (cant travel further), self PT remedies, or even phone consults.
Even just the smallest of tid bits to do in my free time, or to what extent I should limit training. Ankle feels fine until it’s taken to full plantar flexion or dorsiflexion.
