Looking for thoughts on whether muscles should be warmed up prior to stretching or smashing. Conventional wisdom (at least as far as stretching goes) says yes, but it’s hard to keep muscles warm all the time (I like to stretch frequently) and for day-to-day operation we need our muscles to be able to stretch when they’re not warmed up — e.g., if I need to bend over with a straight back to lift something, I can’t run for 5 minutes first to warm things up.
