      Hi Everyone,

Could you please suggest some good mob techniques for mobilizing the upper back muscles. This is a big problem area for me, there is always tightness in the upper back and I end up injuring the levator scapulae once every couple of month. I already do a lot of mobility on my upper back daily but it does not help completely resole the issue. I work on thoracic spine mobilizations, banded stretches and lacross ball, gemini smash almost daily but the problem does not go away.

how does your posture look from head to toe? you may be mobile in the t-spine but something else in the system could be messing you up.

what movement(s) cause the injury to the levator scapula? it could be your exercise form there too.

I think the posture looks OK now, it has improved a lot since I started working on T-Spine mobility. Used to have shoulders significantly forward.

Injuries usually happen during overhead movements, like shoulder press, clean and jerk.
My traps, levator scapulae and rhomboids is pretty tight, I think if I can mobilize these tissues I will solve a lot of the problems with the neck.
