Due to a major DVT (10 years ago) in my ICV and running into both my external iliac veins, I now suffer from multiple varicose veins in both my legs.  Being fairly active and in the gym 5-6 days a week, I do not experience much if any discomfort or limitations from either the DVT or the varicose veins.

My question is regarding rolling/mobility work and varicose veins.  My understanding is you should not be foam rolling/lacrosse balling directly over varicose veins.

Can you confirm this and give suggestion on how to deal with mobility work, mainly rolling and varicose veins?

      Thanks

I can not say for sure one way or the other but it is likely not worth the risk. My only suggestion would maybe find the softest thing you can possibly use and just tread lightly and see how you respond. If you want to be on the safe safe side, just work the immediate surrounding areas that are not affected and do your best.
