I have been having knee pain for 6 months and popping in my patella.  I have had some swelling on the lateral side so I decided to get an MRI.  The most striking finding was an 8×13 mm full thickness cartilage defect posterior central lateral femoral condyle and a tiny loose body.

I have been working on my patellar alignment and the popping has improved but I wanted to see if the community had any suggestions.  The last thing I want is surgery but i’m going to get an opinion from a few surgeons I know….
