Our work with elite athletes serves as the proving grounds for our methods. Most people don’t play professional sports. But if our methods help athletes at the highest levels, they can work for anyone.
Hi all,
A nice way to pair the couch stretch is with some quad smashing first and maybe even some bulgarian split squats nice and slow and controlled (bodyweight is fine, you can find videos describing technique a million places) and then go to the couch. Start as low as you need to to keep a good glute squeeze and rotate between the three and keep working to go up a little higher as you are able to keep the glute engaged.
That’s great, thanks Travis. So is my inability to activate the Glutes in this position mainly down to tight quads?
That could be the issue. Or very tight anterior hip. Smash quads, smash anterior hip and get into the couch again. Rinse, repeat! Focus on only going as high as you can squeeze the butt.

Okay will do. Thanks Travis.
