29 y/o male. Have had this problem for as long as I can remember. Lunging barefoot on one side is near impossible because my toes (mostly my big toe i think) don’t seem to bend far enough on that foot. What could be contributing to this? I am unaware of any injuries that might be a factor here, but it is conceivable that I might have stubbed / fractured a toe in my early teens.

What are the sliding surfaces of your foot like?
Top and bottom of the foot.
