In pro episode #8, Kelly says that high float pedals such as Speedplay allow us to move our knees around problems. Would a zero-float pedal like a Look with black cleats be preferable? One could then start with a neutral foot position, and could apply external rotation creating an arch in the foot, like as in the squat setup?
That’s exactly what I do. No knee pain so far. I don’t ride a ton but I used to get knee pain with SPD pedals with some float. You could try angling the foot position to 5-12 degrees as well I suppose.
