Hi – have been searching the forum and can’t find the answer to this easily (although I’m sure it must have been asked a million times). My squat is atrocious, I have no ability at all to keep my heels on the ground and get anywhere near down into a squat. I’m a runner. Where should I start to develop my squat ability?

      Michelle,
Have you completed The Ready State Assessments?
Are you are missing ankle flexion?
      A couple to check out.
You can search the archive for ankle flexion for more.

The squat challenge is effective. Once you come across the day that you feel really points to your restriction, you can repeat that training for the day. However, as Kelly says, it’s a systems approach. So your squat probably has faults in multiple joints.
