Hi! I had an ACL surgery on August 2014, after I felt from an obstacle on a mud run. I have started to squat just 1 year after the surgery, with little weight. But since November, I started to increase the weight, and now I squat 135lbs. I want to know if it is safe to squat, because sometimes I am afraid to hurt my knee again. Thanks
Using proper technique you should be good to go.
Is there a coach or someone who can check your technique/ mechanics?
Is there someone who can give you a plan to building in weight?
Hi! I have people that can help me, and I like to watch me on the mirror, so I can see if I am doing correctly. My doctor said to squat half way, but I read that this causes more tension on the knee; I don’t feel any pain when squatting, but just hard to come up, as I am still weak. I will keep trying, tks.
Great that you have people who can help you.
Good idea to retool your squat technique following the injury.
Building a solid foundation will help.
